Colonial Spring Ordeal

Join us for Spring Ordeal this Weekend at Fort Belvoir.

Spring Ordeal

Friday, May 1-Sunday, May 3

Join the Chapter at its Spring Ordeal at Fort Belvoir's outdoor recreation area this weekend. You can attend for the whole weekend ($30) or just come out for the Ordeal Ceremony and Welcome Dinner on Saturday($8). Please make checks payable to NCAC, BSA.

Members should arrive between 4 pm and 8 pm on Friday afternoon. Directions are below. Unless you have a DoD-issued ID card, plan on an extra 15 minutes to get through the Visitor Center security. If you're coming out just for Saturday night, plan to arrive by 5 pm.

A Brotherhood Ceremony will be held on Saturday night for eligible members (No Extra Cost).

Youth volunteers are still needed to ensure a quality experience for the Scouts elected this year.

Directions

The Ordeal will be held at Castle Park inside Fort Belvoir.

Access Fort Belvoir through the Tulley Gate on Pohick Rd (just East of the intersection of Route 1 and Fairfax County Parkway).

After processing through the visitor center, proceed on Pohick Rd, turn right onto Gunston Rd, turn right onto Warren Rd, at the foot of the hill turn left on Johnson Rd to parking and then on to Castle Park. The Street address for Castle Park is 6100 Johnston Rd, Fort Belvoir, VA 22060.
