D.C. United is inviting all scout packs and troops to a pair of unique Scout Nights for their 2015 season! This season, scouts coming to the two special Scout Nights will have the ability to attend a pre-match activity fair aimed to give both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts the opportunity to earn requirements towards merit badges and other specialty awards geared towards athletics and healthy lifestyles.
The first scout night will be on Sunday, July 26th,
and will include pre-match activities for Cub Scouts. Scouts will earn requirements towards the
Soccer Belt-loop and Soccer Pin before the program ends at the end of the 2015
season. After the activities, Cub Scout
packs will watch as D.C. United takes on the Philadelphia Union in a Eastern
Conference heavyweight matchup featuring two rivals!
The second scout night will be on Saturday, August 22nd,
and will include a pre-match Merit Badge Fair for the Boy Scouts. Scouts will earn requirements towards merit
badges catered towards sports and physical fitness. After the Merit Badge Fair, they will watch
as the San Jose Earthquakes visit RFK Stadium to take on D.C. United at 7:00PM. The last time D.C. United faced off against
San Jose, United won 2-1 out in California.
On top of the pre-match activities, packs and troops can reserve
on-field experiences as a part of the pre-match ceremonies. Scouts will be able hold a giant American
flag during the National Anthem, take part in a team tunnel when the starting
line-ups walk onto the field, and serve as player escorts during the starting
line-up announcement! All experiences
are special perks for groups of 25 or more people.
D.C. United is able to offer all packs and troops discounted
group rates for 10 or more people. Group
pricing ranges between $12-27, depending on group sizes and seating
locations. For additional information,
you can contact Aaron McCollum from D.C. United at 202-587-5480 or at AMcCollum@dcunited.com.

the most successful soccer clubs in American soccer history with 13
international and domestic trophies. As
of April, 2015, they are the most recent D.C. sports team to win a major league
championship. In 2017, they will open a
