Colonial District Friends of Scouting
This week since we did not have our full staff meeting as usual, I really don't have any new info that would normally come from that but I do have something I'd like to share with all of our volunteers and families. As most of you know, it is Friends of Scouting season here in the Colonial District as well as the Council. As of today our volunteer FOS presenters have done 32 presentations in our units and I am pleased to announce that we are already $10,533.00 from our overall annual goal of $92,000.00! That is simply amazing to think that we may actually go over our annual goal in March-April. We could absolutely not have come this far if it were not for the generosity of our families and supporters throughout the Colonial District! Because of these contributions we will be able to continue to provide high quality programming to all of our units in the District and help support our camps at Goshen and Snyder! A special thanks to Holly Dougherty, our District Finance Chair , and her staff of FOS presenters that have selflessly given of their time to ensure that we raise the funds needed to give our Youth a program they deserve! Well done and thanks to all of you that have contributed thus far and if you have not contributed and wish to, you can contact me at joel.jackson@scouting.org to find out how. Thanks again for all you do for our District and for Scouting! In Scouting- Joel Jackson
